I'm getting promoted and moving to a wilderness park. No more of this regional park bullshit of checking bounce house permits for birthday parties. It's real ranger work for me from now on- invasive plant control, interpretive programs, animal tracking and the like. Only downside is the commute is going to be almost 27 miles each way. I'll be at ( Read more... )

hey man, i know that's you humping that rock. my lady friend wants to get a job in the park service. her parents live in san luis obispo, you probably remember that. six months is good work. i can't wait to see you again sometime in the near future. i know you're going to be much busier but i guess we'll work something out. this time i'll be travelling slightly different with a female partner who likes "plans".

i'm really proud of your brother, too. that's great news.

guilty as charged... and I do remember the SLO factoid. It's not work though when you are enjoying it (that applies to my job and my lady). You are always welcome here, just let me know when you're coming, fyi my mom won't have a problem with two of you staying here, but you might have to bunk in different rooms or something since, yeah...

Funny ever since that grand slam he's been in a major slump. Hope he breaks out of it soon.

Not with you on the weather thing--I strangely prefer the cold--but the job, news on the girl & the brother... these are wonderful to hear! (well, read.) And, as always, I appreciate the pics :-)

I'm glad you do, if no one did, I'd stop posting.
I like cold too, I just want the water to warm up so I can stop wearing a wetsuit and just put on some trunks & fins to bodysurf in the warm summer water.
