I'm getting promoted and moving to a wilderness park. No more of this regional park bullshit of checking bounce house permits for birthday parties. It's real ranger work for me from now on- invasive plant control, interpretive programs, animal tracking and the like. Only downside is the commute is going to be almost 27 miles each way. Congratulations on the promotion and the relationship and the great images and such. Apologies for not friending you back sooner - I have neglected my journal a bit lately, and have grossly neglected correspondence in general for even longer. I hope to get back on track soon, and look forward to seeing and hearing more from you here. I hope spring in southern California continues to treat you well!

no problem I go through periods where I neglect mine for long stretches too. Same goes for your stuff I really enjoy your posts. Do you ever go to those PRAC conferences? I just went to my first one this year. I don't know if I'll go every year, maybe just when they are in awesome locales. Hope the Norcal spring/summer is just as exciting.

I'm so excited for Brian. I'm going to try to go to the game Friday..but I have one of the groundskeepers lined up to let me in the side gate after 6:30 because I'm too broke to pay for a ticket. No, seriously. Want to get in on that or does Brian give you guys tickets? I know how you hate paying for things...

soooooooooo things are going well? congratulations to you and your brother. and scott too for the hell of it, I'm sure he did something recently worthy of a congratulatory remark. life looks good, keep it up

Scott is always out on mysto missions, I don't even know what's going on there. I fear one day he might plant something in my car and then bust me in one of my borderline trespassing escapades then search my car and try to work up the chain from me. I'll turn in my girlfriend for immunity then she'll roll for Colin, who will in turn give up your parents who out of fear for there lives will take the rap instead of naming the cartels they work with (specifically Elisa).

also, Brian has been slumping badly since the grand salami, but word is this weekend at LB state a big name will be in the stands watching (I'm sworn not to reveal who it is until after the fact) so hopefully he can break out of it.

are there a lot of slang uses for U.P.?
Do people ever just call it "up"?
Like, "hey do you guys want to head up to the UP."

or

if headed to central UP does anyone ever say:

Hey, I'm going to C. U. P.?
