One of my students seems to have gotten herself into some sort of trouble.  There was a little bit of drama today at school because of it.  The story is as follows:

Just after lunch at school

Ass-Kicking Rule Enforcer/Soccer Coach (AKRESC): Have you seen Ruri?

Art Teacher: No, why?

AKRESC: Her parents say she didn't come home last night.

Dad and Geoff left early Monday morning.

Dad was feeling better and even ate a decent amount for dinner for the first time in five days prior.  I haven't talked to him since they got home, but I'm assuming that he was feeling decent during the flight home.

Dad is still sick.

I'm starting to get sick. I have a sore throat and I'm all stuffed up.

It's not the same thing as Dad though.  We are pretty sure now that he has food poisoning.

Being sick sucks.

I have just returned from a long weekend of traveling with mom.  As I write this, she is currently in Hiroshima by herself probably getting very tired from walking around all day.

On Saturday we left very early to get to Nara before the crowd.  We left at about 5:30am to get to the station for a 6:10 train.  we got to the station and at about 5:55am ( Read more... )

Mom and I spent and I spent the past two days in Kyoto walking around and seeing the sights.  Both days started out with a bit of rain, but by the time we got to Kyoto everything had cleared up and it was sunny and even pretty hot.

I have just returned from my second trip to Tokyo, this time with mom.  My impression of Tokyo hasn't changed too much, it's a MASSIVE city and there's SOOOOO many people there that I often get annoyed.  Thus, I have come to the decision that I will never really appreciate Tokyo unless I go with someone who really knows the good things to a look ( Read more... )
