Today I finished my first inline marathon in 2 hours 1 minute and 30 seconds. I'm tired.

Anyone who knows me fairly well knows that Fields of the Nephilim is one of my favorite bands of all time. I own most of their tracks one way or another, either on compilation CDs, or mix tapes folks have given me, or albums I've purchased. I've really developed a taste for figs recently. I eat some every day. And yet, I'm having some real trouble finding them in stores these days. They are nearly always sold out. I'm tired of programming. I think I'm just ok at it. But people keep asking me to do it. And I say yes because it seems like the only part of my day that is productive. Time magazine had an article this past week about cool websites. I've been spending some time on a site called pandora that purports to help you find music that's similar to music you already like. The jury is still out, but it's at least been interesting so far.

So someone stole my debit card information and, over the weekend, made a couple purchases in Shanghai before Visa called 'Shenanigans' and shut down my card. How'd they get my info? Who knows. Apparently I could be following all sorts of financial best practices, which I'm pretty sure I am, and the 'bad guys' can still get my info and rob me. ( Read more... )

You know, I don't think I mentioned this. I'm starting a new job July 24. I'll be downtown, so if folks in the area want to go out and grab some lunch, that would be groovy.

I'm really looking forward to the change. Among other things I'll be doing more of the stuff I want to do, and I get to ride bike to work.
