Maybe try disabling your firewall temporarily to test that it hasn't started interfering? I had a weird problem back in Jan that turned out to be the firewall, but a de/re-install fixed it in the end - and I've also disabled automatic patching so it shouldn't change stuff without me knowing at least when it does it now. Also, are you up-to-date with drivers and patches - perhaps something now requires you to be at a specific level?
... but I've tried disabling the firewall (and made sure the Windows firewall is off). I've de-and re-installed various mail programmes(twice). I'm up to date with drivers and patches... and never had automatic patching.
Sorry the Firefox thing didn't help. (Though it's still a better browser! ;-)
I'm afraid I'm completely stumped as well ... Is your broadband working properly otherwise? Is there any chance that there has been some sort of physical damage to your LAN etc?
::hugs:: I do hope it resolves itself somehow, and soon ...

Voodoo I know, but sometimes it'll work.

I am a big fan of the *I'm.switching.you.off.and.when.I.switch.you.back.on.you.had.better.work* technique ;)

I find that threatening the system with the cat sometimes works .....
*you refuse to work? MEET THE CAT!!*
[One of my cats is a walking furball - the idea is to get cat fur in the computer to create a few shortcircuits.... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA]

Totally infuriating - but thanks anyway.
