however... wouldn't it make sense to put his foot down as a brake, to add friction, OR to grab his girl and jump off the back of the bike. obviously he didn't pay attention in science classes to know that forces going in opposite directions will cancel out the weaker force. AKA.. he woulda slowed down a lot if he jumped off the back. and they both would have gotten to live with maybe.. broken arms.
