I just spoke to Jason's mom. Jason came through fine. The surgery took 14hrs, he just got out a few minutes ago. There were some complications - I don't have many details - so he'll be in recovery through the night.

People can start to visit tomorrow, though be aware that he may be sleeping a lot. I'm planning on going down on Saturday.

FYI - no word from Jason yet.

So that everyone knows, since I haven't heard otherwise, I expect that Jason is in surgery at this moment. He's not expected to be out of surgery until at least 6pm - possibly some hours later.

I'll post the moment that I hear something.

If you've got good thoughts, prayers, or other sorts of woo woo to send his and his doctors' way, please do.

You know, I really thought we were in the process of putting this kind of BS behind us.
