8 months after finding out that I passed the bar, I finally received the last of the affidavits from my former legal employers regarding my "moral turpitude".  Assuming that no red flags are raised (I can't imagine any...) I should be admitted to practice law in NY in 8-10 weeks.  Yeah yeah yeah!

It's official, we're going to Sweden in August.  The tickets are bought and paid for, now all we have to do is plan our days.  I'm anxious to see a bit more of Sweden (I've never been to Lund or Goteberg), and of course there are the relatives to visit so I imagine we'll have planned away our week before we know it.  I'm just anxious to get some ( Read more... )

I'm sick, and not dealing with it very well.  I left work yesterday to work from home at 2pm.  I've been working from home today too.  Luckily, work is very slow right now so working from home involved about 3 hours of work and 5 hours of staring out in space while doped up on decongestants.   I tried to go to work on Monday because it looked like ( Read more... )

Benny and I decided to go camping together to celebrate Midsummer in nature.  The original plan involved leaving the city on Friday and pitching our tent in the dark, but due to last minute work that had to be done, that didn't happen.  Instead, we went out for a lovely dinner together on Friday evening in Cobble Hill and woke up early on Saturday ( Read more... )

For my lunch break today, I decided to go for a walk.  While walking, I saw the most curious thing.  There was a couple on the sidewalk seriously going at each other.
