How You Can Tell That I Really Do Love My Husband

The kids? Keeping the house? The backrubs? Making sure work clothes are ready? Healthy meals? Nagging about doctor's appointments? 11 years of devotion? HA! All child's play in comparison ( Read more... )

Heh heh heh - uh, no. Only my own two.

Although, I did leave SIL a message today that maybe G could come over for a sleep-over that night (BIL could bring her by when he comes to meet up with Mark). As odd as it might sound, it's far easier to have the two of them here than it is having just Jenna - they will play for hours, which amuses Chloe as well. And it's easier for SIL, since then her 6yo can play in peace, which just leaves the 18mo to occupy.

*You* are awesome. I hope Mark acknowledges that you are the Best Wife Ever for this (and if he doesn't, I'll be GLAD to give him a call! :).

Your BIL is an @ss.

Err, IMHO.

I am not sure that I would be so generous with any prized Blue Jays tickets -- way to go Kelly! Like the others, I hope Mark knows how lucky he has it (I'm sure he does).

OTOH, I'm thinking that the correct response to your brother-in-law was: "Hey, sorry about that. I'm sure that Mark and I will bring you a nice souvenir".
I suppose this means if they win the playoffs, you have for dibs on very good seats for the next game( I can't remember if there is one level of playoffs or two before the Super Bowl).

You are an awesome wife. My guess is that the game will suck, anyway, they are playing the Jets after all and even though I vastly prefer them to the Giants they really aren't very good. I might even watch the game to ensure the Jets will lose if that makes you happy, I don't think they ever won a game I watched (I only watch in post-season, more or less). Any chance their next play-off game could be in SD, and you'd get to go then?

Ooh, I'm happy to cheer against the Jets. But man, do I sympathize. Before kids *I* was the football fan. But who gets to watch (more of the) games on weekends now? It sure isn't me, I'll tell you that.

Your BIL, btw, is getting on *my* nerves. Why don't they have a TV again?

/snort! I'm glad I'm not the only one! IRL, BIL is practically Dog's gift to mankind, so it's nice to have a place to vent without looking like a total bitch. Well, I might still but none of you have to live with me ( ... )

/me falls about laughing at the 'justification' of no TV for Christians. I'll mention that to imc in casual conversation and see what he says (he's a bigger telly addict than me and that's saying something).

My (active Catholic, if it matters) aunts and uncles all do the 'unlimited access to Disney videos' thing, though - I don't know where that comes from. We have a shelf of kids' videos at a level where smallclanger will be able to access them when he perfects the art of putting them in the player (he's nearly there now!) but the tv and VCR are staying firmly in our bedroom even though we have spares and could set one up in his room quite easily. It's just not a step I want to take.

Wow. Just...wow.

Makes me sort of glad to be a mixed-faith, heathen, TV-watching family ;-)
