The man who listened to my endless rants about socieconomics, environmentalist issues, and my beloved Green Bay Packers has moved on to a new job. I will miss Mr. Ted Williams greatly. At least that is the concensus we Docents came to this morning on our bird walk at Malibu Creek State Park.

Did you know a flamingo gets its color from carotin found in the food they eat? Also the green on Turacos is not a pigment in the feather, it is coloring from copper in its diet, the only bird with a true green pigmen in its feathers. The air is cool as the temperature dips with the falling of the Sun. I take one last look at the setting Sun and then head down the trail to the parking lot. My skin is alive with open pores as my body, accustomed to more temperate conditions, vainly attempts to maintain warmth.
