Gas relief? Or just a bunch of hot air?
There are a lot of stupid Facebook groups out there. But, one genre of Facebook groupdom that especially irks me is that devoted to "DON'T BUY GAS" days.

Arm-chair activism
I came across this random blurb in the McGill Daily, one of the major student newspapers here. It reminded me so vividly of my sentiments during my own student leadership years - while in UAB at Wright State and while in Queer McGill at McGill. It captures many of my frustrations with student engagement almost to a tee.

Late night calm
It's -14 degrees outside right now in the grand city of Montreal. And, I'm standing here on my front stoop enjoying a nice, brief cigarette. And, it's during these times that I'm able to have my mind fully relax and remind myself of how blessed I am.
