STP

I've decided that if my summer work schedule permits (ie forest fire-fighting vs. print shop vs. whatever else I can find around Ellensburg) that I'm going to do the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic.  It's a little over 200 hundred miles, and you get a souvenier jacket!

Anyway, for the time being I think it sounds pretty sweet.  I guess a four ( Read more... )

I speak the truth! She didn't have much on her, so I had to pawn her wand and wings.

I think it costs $75, but I would have paid that just to be in the ride, so in a sense it is a free jacket...sorta. It's been good to see you too. I love it when I run into a friendly face :)

i should do the STP its the only obvious secondary step
to owning a bike.

as soon as this 30 days of rain ends . ill be riding my bike all over and by whenever the race is if im in the best shape of my life then i am there beside you (and then probably far behind you because i have little legs)

but.

i have a bike and i should use it.

.end.

You should! It isn't until July, so you have time to get ready for it, and I think that Alex's parents might do it too. It'd be sweet. That way one of us could ride, while the other one broke that stupid four-year olds legs. That'll teach him to succeed at an early age...

if you and traci are fo'shizzy staying up there over the weekend then maybe we can find our way up there over to you as well.

Well, I can say that Traci and I are staying here for sure, as well as Dustin, Wally, Brent, and I'm sure some other people. Other than that group right there I don't know who is staying and who is going, but if you wanted to come and visit those of us that will be here, you are more than welcome of course. We have a little less than 500 couches at our house, but we should still be able to find a place for everyone to sleep if you did come. AND, I think we're cleaning the place tomorrow because Dusitin's mother is going to stop by on Saturday I guess. Anyway, that was just a really long way of saying "yes you should deffinately come if you want to because we will be here fo'shizzy" Give me a call and let me know...

I guess you have to be good enough to ride 200 miles in one or two days...so moderatly good i suppose. I don't think that there is a requirement for a bike, but i would reccomend some sort of racing or touring frame with road tires, but if you did it on like, a pink huffy from fifth grade, i'd have to give you some sort of crazy high five...

you totally should. There's a training schedule on the website like how many miles a week you should ride to get ready for it, and it doesn't look ridiculously hard or anything. I think it's going to be crazy fun.

I heard you and steph were thinking about coming over to ellensburg this weekend? I don't know what traci told you guys, but i'm going to be around. in fact my car kinda crapped the bed, so i won't be going much of anywhere outside of like a 40-50 mile radius. as far as who else will be in town, i'm not totally sure, but i think most of us at this house will be (dustin, wally, brent)so yea. let me know what you guys are thinking.
