Hey, Mayfield, it's me again, and that me is Tavros, oh, wow, I am already messing this up.

Now that I think you are done with your human mating thing, and I am pretty certain the brain-consuming disease is gone, or at least I hope it is gone, and I am not currently suffering from it, but I don't think I am because I am not feeling flushed for ( Read more... )

They said Nono was sqaure, too.

It is mostly confusing, because it is almost always in conjunction with the, um, being shoved into the Upright Educational Supplies Storage Device.

Oh no!

Yuki told Nono to say like totally to stop being square, but it's hard for Nono to remember.

Does, uh, saying that phrase, help with being a shape, or I guess, make you some other shape, aside from a square?

Just wait. I'm pretty sure it's the towns way of saying you're new here.

[Hey not!bro. Tiffany's just leaning against the wall.]

So it is some sort of human greeting, like what's up, or hey, or daddy-o?

the_wee_big_hag February 26 2011, 22:34:32 UTC
I suppose some humans might use it as a greeting.

The town does not have, uh, any other admittedly kind of awful ways of saying I am new, right?

I don't know what that means, but they called me that too.

Oh, they called you that, as well? I guess I did not think that it was a positive thing, but you seem really nice, and all, so maybe it is.

I don't think it's supposed to be nice. They don't say it like it is...

Yeah, it is definitely said in a manner that is, derogatory, and kind of hurts Rufio's feelings, a bit, even though it shouldn't.

It means you're not cool. [Can you hear the "DUH" in the tone?]

Oh. I guess, that would explain the taunting, that accompanies it. And also, possibly, the constant stealing of the money I am given to bring for human lunch.

fuckyeahsealand February 27 2011, 06:58:51 UTC
Well yeah. Everyone knows that.

Well, uh, I guess that I am an everyone now too, on account of having just learned?

I don't really understand why they call people squares. I was told it's part of the slang they used back in the 1950's.

It means they think you're unpopular. You don't need to acknowledge your reputation if you don't want to.

Oh, okay, I guess sometimes I forget this is Ancient Earth, though I really shouldn't have to forget, because of the lack of any technology that I am familiar with.

. . . So you are saying that, um, I can just ignore it, and it is not a vital part of human culture?

iinchoucat February 27 2011, 01:34:11 UTC
It is only vital if you think it is. Only the drones will refer to you as a square.

Uh, yeah, to be kind of honest, those humans kind of scare me, a lot. I mean, I am not, uh, an expert on humans, or anything, but they definitely do not act like normal people, at all, ever.
