For all of you who were worried, I'm fine. My family evacuated days ago and we are now staying with family in Georgia. I don't know when I will be back, though. We lost everything as far as we know. There hasn't been any talk of the area where I live, so we assume it's under water. I'll get back to you all soon.

Everything mostly. Clothes, pictures, my bed, my computer. It's all wet with that nasty toxic water now.

Thanks. Hopefully, I'll be back online soon. We're finding a place in Shreveport, LA which is north of New Orleans (about 7 hours away), but I'll probably be moving out on my own to NYU maybe cause Louisiana universities are all filled up now. Hopefully. I'm keeping my fingers corssed that I can get there.

oh. my. God. today in English we had to do these journals. and we were to write about anything that was going through our minds. there was jazz music in the background and it reminded me of new orleans. then i thought about the hurricane. and then i wrote, 'i'm so glad I don't have any family or friends down that far south' and then I paused and started freaking out because you automatically popped up in my head. I can't believe it took me 2+ weeks to realize that HELLO YOU LIVE AROUND THERE.
And of course it was first block, and I had to wait all day to get any news. SIGH.
But I'm so glad you're all right.
The entire day, I was like 'irehfkvoreehkfr3oliakedjsfcierlkhadfsjnceriadskfvchjntrf GET ME OUT OF HERE' and now I know you're okay and gah. I need to talk to you soon.
