Eeeeeh. I really didn't like how everyone in this ep was like "Hey I just change my mind every second just to fuck you up, suckers!".
I have the iffy feeling that I am a part of a psychological experiment or a fratboy bet about how long I keep watching the show even if I feel like a complete idiot because of it. And the worst thing is that I really can't stop, so whoever bet on it that I will stay till the end will definitely win.
My sister has this theory that the immortal people (Jacob, blackshirt, and mascara guy... what's his name? Richard?) are indigenous to the island. That they're like a race of immortal people. Idk.
WHY is no one talking about the fact that Ilana called Lapidas (lolz I have no idea how to spell his name - I'd rather call him Lapras) a "candidate"? And that Jacob fell into a fire? Because if black shirt guy can become Locke surely Jacob can reincarnate himself elsewhere - i.e. into newbody!Locke?
And that Jacob was saying precisely what he knew would make Ben react - he was actually giving him what he wanted (i.e. a sense of autonomy) because like Dumbles he wanted to die? Because he has to return into Locke's body eventually?
ALSO - if Jacob's been chilling at the statue forever what the holy motherfuck was happening in the cabin when Ben first took Locke there? Was Ben telling the truth then that he'd been bullshitting the whole time?
Taweret was the goddess designated to protect pregnant women... maybe her statue getting destroyed is the reason pregnant women die on the island. But dangit, I want more answers. Lost is such a tease. :P

I cannot fully express how much I agree with this statement. Thank you.
