one time john prescott just sat there for an entire session giving the tories the finger. he also punched out a farmer when the farmer threw an egg at him. John Prescott is my vote for most entertaining british political dude.

however, I do not like the way the leading party itself are the only ones that get to kick out the prime minister. Because then, since it's his (or her, but in this case deffinitly his) own party, no one in the party wants to look bad by kicking that person out of PM-ship. So then it becomes up to the prime minister himself to decide to leave, which seems vaugly facist to me, a-la now.

I think I just got tired of british political antics this last semester.

However, I agree with Kate that Prescott is a genius. A crazy crazy genius.

yes you are very right. I also hate that they're very Robert's Rules of Order orderly which is inherently oppressive against any minority, which happen to be many liberals. Alas we are stuck/England is stuck with Blair, but I don't really feel he will last THAT much longer, he's so hated by so many, even in his own party.

I don't know if you've noticed this, but EVERYONE in parliament is CRAZY. CRAZY!!!! I want to move to England to be an MP right now just so I can get up and shout whatever comes to mind and then heckle and boo whatever I don't like.

Parliament is far more entertaining than congress. Although Prescott wins the big prize, we do have Sen. Ted Stevens.
