Before I came to work today I had to go to a private (BUPA) hospital in Liverpool for a check-up; all part of the after care from last week’s accident. The check-up was pretty thorough and they concluded that I should suffer no ill-effects from the blow to my head; the headaches have subsided and my vision has returned to normal. Last week’s trip to Turkey turned out into a bit more of an adventure than I had imagined. I travelled to Ankara on Monday, arriving late afternoon, and spent two nights there. Thursday and Friday were just too hectic to update. After a busy day in Barcelona, I had a four-hour drive, arriving at my next hotel at 10pm. I was starving so didn't mind the three-course meal (finishing at 1am) too much. I've always loved cities like Barcelona - you can walk down the street at 11pm, all the bars are open and there are loads of people about. There are even quite a few girls on their own like me, so I feel perfectly safe ( Read more... )
