I find it very ironic that there's a contingent on FO that is hyper-critical of language, yet a dark undercurrent of much worse and blatent biases are given a pass.

Really does prove that the loudest voice on the internet tends to win.

You know, I certainly understand the power of language. We Catholics have a saying "Lex orandi lex credendi. Lex credendi lex orandi" As we pray, so we believe. As we believe, so we pray. Certainly, changing language can change thought patterns, and vice versa. Having a conversation about language can be a powerful and appropriate thing. However, this is getting utterly inane. This is turning into a "cause of the week" thing and it's getting old.

I'm of the opinion that this is just people trolling based on the "We'll defend anything" idea.
