Got the mail this morning (Saturday's mail) and there was an envelope from my insurance company. I opened it and there was a refund check of $50, and I immediately started to brown my drawers a bit. I sat down with the squadron career counselor on Monday to submit my request to transfer to the fleet reserves effective next October. That is Navy-talk for retiring. Yesterday, I received a note from my housing department notifying me that they needed to come by today to do the annual check on the smoke alarms and such. Something I'm thinking about. I waste a LOT of time on sports (watching, listening to sports-talk radio [which is like a double waste of time]) and money as well. I think that after the football season is over, I'm going to take a year off of sports. Next year will be a big transition year for me anyway, so I may as well add that to the list. Had a very good run over to PT, didn't stretch it too long but it was still good. Got to PT and had to deal with the usual crap. The first thing we do is a warmup lap, and I tell everyone to run a warm-up lap around the track (somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of a mile), and then we stretch and PT.
