I have been taking anti-depressant/anxiety pills for a couple of months now.

I've always been hesitant about medication.  I always wanted to believe that, whatever issues I had...I could always work out on my own.  Even more so, just the idea of needing medicine in order to function properly...it just seemed shameful...and...embarrassing...

I decided weeks ago that I would be going to the Masquerade Ball at UNCC.  I'm so glad I did.  Because honestly...it was amazing...

Everyone was good to each other...and...  I danced the night away with my friends.  <3

I even met some new people, and developed some new friendships along the way.

The last time I ever saw my Dad alive was this past Christmas.

While I was visiting with him...  I wanted to take a picture with him...  But I was too nervous to ask.  In the past, my Mom would force family photos upon us...  but of course, Mom wasn't there.

This past week has had unexpected twists and turns.

Thanksgiving wasn't so bad.  The entire family was basically inside of my kitchen/den.  I was amazed that so many people could fit into such a tiny, little space.

I'm not so excited about Thanksgiving.
