On a trip to visit my parents in Arkansas last week, John and I were invited along with them to dinner at the neighbors. There was another couple there as well. We're having a rather enjoyable time, very nice people, lots of small talk, when John announces "My dad beats me." He got everyone's full attention at that point. In my infinate wisdom, I thought that my cell phone would benefit from a run thru the spin cycle with a little starch to stiffen up it's collar. Therefore, if any of you try to get a hold of me for the next day or two, I would try the house phone or the wife's #...it's a 9 at the end instead of an 8.

John, while repeatedly smacking his forehead:

"Hand! I order you to stop!"

Hits himself again

"Well, that didn't work"

So Trevor was benign. I the wrap cut off my foot and the stiches out. It's funny, with all the scar tissue in there, it almost feels like nothing got taken out. Gonna have a pretty nice cross shaped scar on the bottom of my foot. He is, indeed, the best kid ever.

So I'm just dozing off at a little before midnight (which is extremely early for the last 2 weeks) when I hear John coughing really bad. I stick my head in to find him lying in bed next to a pile of vomit approximately 1.5 feet in diameter. Poor kid. He passed right out in my bed.

I am somewhat sad. I do not have a sixth toe. I am not the next step in evolution. On a positive note, I have a sibling! He just didn't develop as well as I did, and is currently residing in between my toes. I named him Trevor. He's getting cut out of me tomarrow at 6 am.
