Do you still own any books from your childhood? - I own several, most I passed on to my children and we saved them after that too. I've a very old Tom Sawyer, Le Morte d'arthur, some fairy tales, even some old disney books.
Of your favourite books, which one do you like to recommend to people? I always recommend David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist, Jim Butcher and Patrick Rothfuss. (also I just realized that my four go to authors are male. I never really thought about that before)
Excuse me while I freak out. DAVID FUCKING EDDINGS is a legend. I alomost always forget to list him in my fav authors but man, I loved me some Belgarion and Ce'Nedra. Also Sparhawk. Diamond Throne is still one of my most fav books ever.
Man, now I want to go and re-read them all.
Harry Dresden is one of the best charcters in Sci-fi/fantasy bar none. I enjoyed the tv series but really, it needs the big screen treatment.
I loved the books feist wrote with Janny Wurts. I loved Magician but I kind of forgot about the rest....
Sparkhawk was the first character from a book I fell in love with. I read Diamond Throne the year it came out and that was it, I mean I'd love characters before but if I could have made Sparhawk real? Yeah. I should also add I reread them every year. Eddings in my Tolkien.
I've had both my boys read the books and they love them. My youngest, who is 16 next month, is working his way through Darkness at Sethanon, by Feist, atm.
I love Dresden, but I've not read the newest and am leery of the possible Molly/Harry direction things seem to be heading toward. Changes really killed me and I know he plans on taking the books to a dark place and I hate reading about the characters I love dying. =(
I really enjoyed "The Thousand Dollar Tan Line" and thought they got the character's voices dead on. I got it from the library the day it came out and absorbed it in like 3 days :x I can't wait until the 2nd one comes out in October!
Good Omens is on my to read list. I need to speed up my reading so I can get to it.
- What was the last book you read? Insurgent - Of your favourite books, which one do you like to recommend to people? I honestly don't read many books so I'd probably recommend Divergent Trilogy to people. lol - Which ones do you NOT like to recommend to people? Probably Night. While it was a good book, there are parts in the book that still haunt me. I read it like 6-7 years ago and I still remember certain parts that I hope to forget. - Do you still own any books from your childhood? I own like 15 buffy books that I brought when I was younger lol - What are you reading now? Nothing lol - Have you seen any recent movies that were books? Yeah, I've seen Divergent in March. That tis all. - If you hosted book club, what would you serve? hot tea and some mini sandwiches because that sounds so yummy
Well I loved it, but I'm easy when it comes to movies that as long as it isn't poorly made, I love it.
I guess it depends on whether you enjoy the small things in the book, like Uriah at the sky-lining scene, or Tris calling Four Tobias, because unfortunately those weren't there. Sorry if that was major spoilerish. haha
