Faith in humanity...answer uncertain?
This afternoon, driving back from a birthday party on the central coast, we were delayed for over an hour because of a shocking accident. Apparently, a woman had died when she lost control of her vehicle, and it ran through the guardrail and over a 30 metre (98 ft) cliff. A colleague sent this to me today, and I laughed harder than I have done in a very, very long time. I was too chickenshit to send it to anyone else, fearing that I might get my friends in trouble for looking at it. But it must he shared. And so I am posting it here.

Condolence Cards
In the last few months, I have sadly had cause to buy a number of condolence cards. Each time, it takes me forever to pick one, because so many condolence cards are so very unsatisfactory.

The whole world must know!
Our kettle has been on the fritz for about a week. We've had it for about 2 and a half years, so today I was going to throw it away and buy a new one. On a hunch, though, I poked around the contacts on the bottom with a toothpick, and some dampened paper towel. Now, it works again! I am the win ( Read more... ) -
Office fun...
A few minutes ago, one of my co-workers (K) rang another of my co-workers (S).
When S answered the phone, K said nothing but the words "Scrotum Sac".
At this point, both of them fell about laughing.

Awkward...
The woman who sits next to me at work (just across the divider) is on a phone call in which she is clearly applying for another job...and she's referring to her current job in the past tense. And making unfavourable comments about it. -

On my kitchen bench, there was a large expanse where I had brought things home in plastic bags, and dumped them on the counter. Cleaning up this mess, I found underneath, a single plum in a plastic bag. It has been at least three weeks since I bought plums. I thought this one would probably be putrid, but it seemed whole. Little boat, little boat, tell me about the ocean
This isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I'm astonished at the idea of boat watching as a 21st century pursuit, but obviously a fair few people were keen to see the Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mary II when they were both in Sydney Harbour yesterday.
