Happy, sniffy Inauguration Day!
I used up several tissues today sniffling my way through parts of the Inauguration. The speech was amazing. The still of Sasha giving her Dad the thumbs-up was classic. Gotta love those little girls.
Join me in prayers of healing for Sen. Kennedy. I sure hope he comes out of today ok. -

SNOW!
We've got snow too. About 4 in. Ben was var excited when I opened the blinds this morning and told him to look outside. "Snow, snow , snow!"
We'll be going out after breakfast to play and take pictures. I needed to take pics of my outside decorations to send to sister Liz in Tanzania anyway and now there's snow too!! :) -
At least this time we know what's coming...
Getting ready to grieve again. Our dear friend & SCA uncle Johannes the Sinister is extremely sick. Johannes was diagnosed with liver & colon cancer just over a year ago. He's been more in than out of the hospital in the last couple months and is in a nursing care facility now. Unfortunately, he will not be with us much longer.
Damn. -

Another perspective on our new president
My sister Elizabeth is currently in Tanzania, Africa working for Carpenter's Kids (CK). CK is a program of the Episcopal Church that sponsors children so that they can attend school. Her post from November 5 about the election results is an interesting look at how this election was perceived in a different part of the world.
