On Saturday I spent four and a half hours making my first batch of pear and apple jam. I am so proud of it. It is beautiful and fills nine jars to the top. My mother and I drove to Jones Orchard today and bought a pound of strawberries and tomorrow I am going to take the bus home early from work and try to make strawberry jam. Last week there was free ice cream outside the student center. I went to the bakery to get lunch and inside there were tables of bubbles and games, little gated areas with puppies.There was Enya. I really like what cocorosie is up to these days.

Spring showed up here last Monday. It came in a rush of chlorine and cookouts.We have class outside and I can't listen, we read brilliant books but I roll in the grass, weave leaves in to my hair. The Peace and Justice House had a kid's TV shows/books costume party. Tavish and his friends performed their finale episode of Scrubs and lead the audience running through the whole building, we ran up and down flights of stairs to find each scene.
