hmm...everything i can think of sorta falls into those categories. swimming = exercising. going to get coffee = reading+kinda wasting money. this is a tough one, lady!

maybe you could volunteer at a food pantry or something like that?

sorry to make it so tough. funny thing is you already pegged what i do. i drink a lot of coffee, am reading harry potter and go swimming every now and then. i think i might today cause it's freakin' hot. anyway, the volunteering is a good idea. i don't know how many people will want a longer commitment than i can give though... hmmm...

Try scrounging on craigslist for the bay area. I know you're too far along the summer to get a job-job, but there are always tons of odd jobs and gigs that you could probably do to keep yourself occupied as well as get a few extra bucks in there.

OK, so there's this one game that's, like, SUPER cheap. I could get it for you for next to nothing. & this wouldn't count as wasting money since you'd be spending time with millions of people around the world. It would be a multi-cultural, educational experience. So essentially, you're almost paying to further your education. You wouldn't even need to study abroad! The only thing is it'd be about $15 a month. But put that in perspective of a class at ANYWHERE. $15 a month is a paltry amount. & it's cheaper if you pay for, like 3 months at a time or something. So this thing will make the rest of your summer go by SO fast you won't even believe it! & then you'll be like, "Wow, it's time for school! Glad I can go hang out with Kylan again!" (Oh, speaking of WOW, it's World Of Warcraft)
