I just got the official notice that I've been accepted by a company in Japan.

Whoah.

Done
* woke up at 5:45, left house by 6:15, climbed 80 flights of stairs at the IMA by 7:15
* met with sensei about whether or not to accept job opportunity in Japan: no objections to it from sensei
* had lunch with professor I'll be TAing for and Ryan, the other TA
* got 4 free books (I love being a TA) and bought 1

* Take apart a hard disk.  I am now the proud owner of a set of very strong magnets and a shiny metal disc.
* ORGANIZE.  Ahhhhh....
* eat a chocolate covered strawberry.  This was not a requirement, per say.  More of a delicious, delicious perk.

I'm so happy right now.

I don't think I have ever been this tired, whether physically, emotionally, or mentally.

Well that was terribly unpleasant.  To the makers of the Japanese Language Placement Test, how about a little more accuracy in the "if you can pass this little test online you'll be fine on the real thing?"  Parts of the aforementioned real thing were absurd.

That said, it's not definite that I failed.  Just probable.

In the sage words of moi:

On a related note: can you get worms in Mexico?  I mean the kind that live in your stomach?  Getting worms in Mexico would combine my greatest fear in life and a long-time dream of mine: worms and non-running involved weight loss.  If I wasn't so scared of worms, I honestly wouldn't know which one to root for.

Mysterious fat man spotted near scene of Hyogo schoolgirl killing ... while poking around the Mainichi Newspaper site for one of my students.  I was not, by the by, looking for mysterious fat men, but by george, that will be one of my primary searches in newspapers now.

I'm so amused.
