Well, a few days have passed since I have come to this new place, and now I'm currently parked under Sean's branch. On paper, I'm now supposed to do maintenance stuff, like going around to see barrack damages and see whether they are fine and get quotations to fix them and blah blah blah. It's a lazy Saturday morning and I have nothing much to do.
а. It is now confirmed. I found out that my brain had indeed deteriorated during NS (probably much like everybody else's). Life is indeed boring, when you start looking at the immediate future, and that monotony seems to drag on for the foreseeable future.

On 2010
During field camp (any out of the 6), I realised that it was actually quite nice to sit back and relax and watch time past and events happen - like how I sat in my little shell-scrape in all my 4 nights, watching the moon rise and set during the one-third alerts. Hey everybody! I've finally just survived the first mandatory confinement in national service military conscription and so I'm out here in civilisation in mainland singapore (even though singapore isn't on the world island) for my christmas break. frankly, conscription has been an okay experience thus far, so far it's like a camp. i've been trying ( Read more... )
