character's name- Kaidou Kio series- Loveless character's age- 20 canon point- I'll be taking Kio from after Soubi and Ritsuka release him from 'jail', but before he returns to his old home to question his relatives about his supposed twin sister, Chouma.
Unfortunately, Loveless doesn't really focus too much on the history of background/minor characters, only hinting and providing little snippets of their past, leading the reader to make inferences and assumotions on what they do know. In other words, bear with me.Kio’s younger years aren’t really ever mentioned in the manga, but based on his personality and how ordinary he seems compared to the majority of the other characters in the series, it’s probably safe to say he had a relatively normal upbringing and that he’s lead a fairly normal life for the most part. history- Not many details are known about Kanade’s actual life before she died. All we really know is that at one point in her life she required a heart transplant and received a heart from a donor who had died recently (Otonashi). That heart allowed her to live a longer life than she was expected to but she still ended up dying at an early age. After dying Kanade wound up in “purgatory” with her only regret in life being that she was never able to thank the person who had donated their heart to her. She thought that if she stayed in purgatory long enough she might finally be able to meet up with the person who gave her that heart. In time she became the student council leader at the school there and made

personality- The first impression that Kanade tends to give off is that of a very detached, emotionless girl but under that robotic exterior is just a shy, normal girl. She’s a very quiet individual and isn’t one to waste words. She’ll usually say what she needs to say, if not a bit bluntly. That’s not to say she’s a rude person, oh no, it’s just that sometimes she doesn’t understand that what she says may be considered rude at times. In other words, she’s awkward. Very awkward and she even admits this at one point. She also has a hard time getting across what she really wants to say sometimes (which was pretty much the reason for the whole “Angel” misunderstanding). In the series it’s hinted that Kanade may not have had many real friends during her life time, meaning she may never have learned how to normally interact with people. [Suddenly, Kanade hears a rustling noise coming from behind her. She quickly turns around and holds out her hand.]
Hand Sonic.
[Kanade takes a defensive stance with her arm blade drawn. If whatever made that noise was going to pose a threat, she would be ready. But from within the bushes the only “threat” that emerges from it is a small puppy. Upon seeing the dog, Kanade’s blade disappears. The dog walks over to her and nudges her hand with its nose.]
I’m sorry. I don’t have anything for you.
[The dog whines a bit and after a pause Kanade sits down with the dog and pets its head.]
