ehhhhhhh.... karma takes lifetimes to mean anything. LIFETIMES. hundreds of deaths and rebirths. dont get caught up in these cliche's man. this is karma:

buddhists are in a constant suffering... their spirit consists of a life of: birth, suffering, death, rebirth. buddhists accumulate karma in hopes of a better NEXT life. whatever and however you're living today consists of a WORLD of accumulated karma and demerit over manyyyyy hundreds of lifes.
if you believe in karma, then you believe there is not much you can do this life, but only work hard for your next... i believe it inhibits growth, but eh.
NOW, if you believe doing good in THIS LIFETIME benefits others and yourself on levels deeper then just living through your 5 senses can create, well, then THIS IS LOVE! not karma =) just fucking love people.
