I dunno if it's just me, but livejournal doesn't seem to be doing it for me anymore. It used to be exciting, both posting my weekend updates and reading everyone's posts. But now it's become boring. So... what's been happening. Let's start with last weekend (4th). Friday morning I went to RBC and got preapproved for a mortgage. Now at least we know how much we can spend. Friday afternoon we went to Pro-Tax Consultants to get our taxes done. The guy is really nice and friendly, it's almost even fun to go there. The not fun part was the news that Tanya got a couple bucks return this year, compared to lots last year (but that was due to school credit). I got a return similar to the last couple years. Friday, we went to see Grindhouse at the Galaxy. The double-feature was cool, especially the first one (Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror). Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof was alright too, and the fake trailers in between were awesome. We went to visit Larry and Jasminn (and Eamon and Brynn) for the Easter weekend. They finally moved into their new house in Raymond (close to Lethbridge) in January. The house is big but the basement and the second level aren't finished yet. Otherwise it's pretty nice. Friday afternoon we drove to Biggar for Tanya's doctor appointment. On the way there my car started making a funny sound, but otherwise seemed fine. So we'd like to start looking for a house... But it's so ridiculously expensive! I don't understand how all those people can afford a $200,000+ house. There's almost nighing below that. It has been a few weeks since my last update. A number of things passed since then: our first actual Valentine's Day together, then the anniversary of our first date 3 days later...
