My breathing is no longer so labored, but tonight I slept from 6-9 in the evening. Why?! I kind of had a long day, but the kids were better than usual so I'm a bit confused. I have a feeling I'm making up for years of not sleeping well by sleeping during my afternoons ( Read more... )

I went to the doctor again today. At first I thought it was going to be another waste of time but was pleasantly surprised when the doctor turned out to be very knowledgeable. He instructed me in the proper use of my inhaler, asked me to cough as well as breathe deeply during the exam, and gave me a breathing treatment that included steroids. ( Read more... )

Even though I was still pretty damn sick, I went to work today. Luckily Steph dug my truck out of the snow last night but even still I was late to work because I had to heat it up, stop by Walgreens for kleenex and hand sanitizer, get breakfast at Jack in the Box, then get stuck in traffic. Thanksgiving ruled. Steph and I agree that it's our favorite holiday because it's like a laid-back party for your family. Her mom made the best turkey ever and I eated a lot of stuffing. Today I applied for more jobs - one here and three in the Portland/Vancouver area. The weird thing about the Forest Service is that you have to apply in the fall if you want a summer seasonal job.
