Good to see that most seemed to have survived the first week unscathed. Those who aren't feeling quite as well as they should, remember ( Read more... )

The notion of Muggleborns taking that class is ludicrous. As is the class in general.

Perhaps. I don't mind, as I know the material already, so that's less time I have to spend revising for it. Then again, it would be unfair to make it mandatory for purebloods only, wouldn't it? Reverse discrimination, of a fashion. Either way, I don't think there's much that can be done but to make the best of the situation.

I am part-Muggle. There is nothing a pureblood witch can teach me about being one that I don't already know, particularly that pureblood witch. With it I am taking six NEWTs, and I resent that its presence does not leave me free to pursue a more fruitful subject.

I'm sorry to hear that. What would you take in its stead, just out of curiosity?

I'm sure there's tons of people who would love to take care of others' extra familiars - or at least claim them as their own - in order to dodge that rule.

There probably are. However, the more intelligent Prefects of the species would still likely spot the ruse. It would have to be up to those who have excess familiars whether they want to get their friends in trouble for it.

Ah, but what if those people, albeit someone they might consider as trusthworthy enough, aren't their friends?

And why am I thinking so much about this subject when I have no familiars and absolutely no intention to get one?

How terrible. Not only are you suggesting ways to break rules, but ALSO hinting at untrustworthiness and perfidy between supposed friends. I think you might be over-thinking the situation just a bit. Either that or you're trying to drive others to mass paranoia.

Inhumane. You're don't seem like a very good pet owner, that's for certain. If I were a beast, and I'm not, I would detest you for locking me up like that.

I look after them really good. only the little animals have cages and there big ones.

However "good" you look after them is irrelevant. The school rules stipulate that you may only have one here on campus with you.

Well, if nothing will endear you to the class, at the very least you only have a year more of it.

Muggle Studies isn't the kind of easy O I want.

And why don't you just admit that you're in love with Starla Makenna or something. Instead of taking off points for people who are only voicing their opinions.

They'll get what's coming to them one day once I'm Minister for Magic -- mark my words.

I should hope so. Both on the count of you being Minister of Magic and them getting what's coming to them!

It was Christopher who removed points for insolence, not Cadoc. I am sorry that you view prefects as being so dull and interchangeable that you mistake one for the other. Next to you we can only lack your scope of variety personality-wise.
