Just wanted to re-post, as exit polls tell me there hasn't been much change in vote-age recently:

"Hey, Jeff! What's in it for me if I cast my Homecoming vote on the Chaucer-Hodgson ticket"I'm glad you asked, William or George or what-have-you. A vote for Jeff and Francie is a vote for our school. If we're elected, you can expect ( Read more... )

Does this apply on the Hodgson end as well?

Jeff, you are awful, I declare! You aren't supposed to buy votes for the Homecoming King and Queen! But that party does sound fun, LOL!

That is so sweet of you to compliment me like that. You deserve to be Homecoming King, you're so outgoing and funny, and you have a great wardrobe. I just love everything you wear. You have natural style, you really really do! I admire guys who are willing to be cutting edge and not fall back on the same old basic black, you know?

Anyway, no matter who wins we will have lots of fun at the dance! Yeah!

Hells yeah! You got natural style too, Francie. And we WILL have lots of fun. We'll be so aqua we'll BLIND the competition (I got those shoes, BTW.)

And it's not buying votes, it's providing incentive. And it's all in fun (unless we lose. No, just kidding. But seriously.) Come on, you want to be queen, don't you? I'm counting on you to swing the cheerleader/sporto vote -- I've hopefully got the alcoholic/hedonist majority at least looking our way.

Go go go go go team!

Jeff, you DO know that the prom king gets sacrificed at midnight under that huge oak tree by the sports field, right? And that the prom queen sprinkles his blood upon the fields to ensure the fertility of the land and the success of all the sports teams in the coming year?

I've been fearing a disaster of Carrie-like proportions for a while now, actually.

Carrie would have been an interesting book, if Stephen King could write women with any chance of success.

And why do you say that?

Okay, that made me vote for you for King. But Hodgeson? Really?

Hey, that's my date you're talking about.

I'm glad I have your vote, though. If I make King, I still get the house for the party, so it's on.
If I am ritually sacrificed before then by Tweedlestrange and Tweedlescary, I would assume the party would be cancelled.

Worry not, my friend. If indeed the party you've so...well, I would say artfully, but there was hardly anything artistic about your entry so instead I will say "ecstatically" described, I will be glad to procure the necessary things to rouse a celebration.

Just let me know before hand, hmm?

Scratch that, as I have been informed of Byron's party, and thus it presents a lovely alternative. As it is, you should probably check the post I made on Byron's journal here.
