redcurrant!
so I was in the shop the other day and I fould a redcurrant bush. And it said it grows to 1.5m so i thought I'd buy it and take it home. I'm not sure how well it'll grow in my container (currently it's about ? 60cm tall) but we'll see. it's supposed to fruit next year I think...

not only did my lettuce survive me leaving it on its own for the weekend, it's now big enough to eat! (the leaves are about 2 inches long)
so I'm putting them in Ham Sandwiches (no, I didn't make my own ham, cos I don't have a pig. I didn't make the bread either, though maybe I'll start making some now it's warmer1 - I'm full ( Read more... ) -

plants (and fish) survived my abandonment of them so that's all good.
The Boy helped me to make hotcrossbuns! (though due to various things we didn't start making them till about 3pm on Friday so we didn't eat them till after dinner. That's why you're supposed to make them on Thursday, isn't it ( Read more... ) -

So, yesterday I didn't really have many plans until Thursday night when climbingpartner (A) said 'Do you want to go climbing outside on the weekend if it's nice weather?'
And it was sunny so we went to ( Cheddar Gorge ) -
re: walkforbeth
Due to the walk having happenned nearly two years ago, and also I had a couple of random people friending it, walkforbeth is now no more. I've archived it, so if anybody wants to know what we said, it's in pdf format - comment if you want it.

what I like about soup-in-a-box
1. It's tasty
2. It's nice and easy to cook for when I need to have a hot luch on climbing days
3. You can eat it out of the (Tetrapak) box so washing up = 1 spoon
(of course, Proper Soup cooked by yourself is good to, but lazy soup is quite good too! -
in which quite a lot of fun and not a lot of sleep is had by all
