Facebook SNAFU

I got a little obsessed with Facebook after joining earlier this week. (I'm sick and it's a been way to entertain myself when I can't sleep due to postnasal horribleness, for example.)

But the universe has pwned me in my quest for FB activity:

Having looked that up...I don't think so. At least, I have deleted all cookies and cleared my cache and tried again for no change in behavior. And why would FB think I don't exist while I show up on FB pages of friends, etc.?

Do you have another computer, or another browser on your computer that you could try accessing Facebook with?

I suppose I could try that. I'm not sure it would help though, since at this point I am confused about which one of my rotating passwords I used. I have now made up some new ones, one of which I will use once I get back in. And it's not clear to me whether my attempts to reset the password with their system actually did reset it or not; so it might have a string of random gibberish as a password right now anyway. I never got the email the reset system is supposed to send, and since FB staff people are saying there is no such account at that email...well it seems unlikely to me that the problem does not involve something with their database. I've already cleared all of my cookies and cache together in an attempt to set it right, to no avail. (I did formerly do tech support, and though I'm not current and internet and browser stuff was not my field, I know a little.)
