I have some twenty years of Smithsonian magazines. Most are in like-new or almost-new condition. Where can I take them?

My last resort is to take them to the recycle center, but if there was some organization that would get actual use out of them, I'm happy to give them away.

A year or two back I tried to find out how to dispose of old prescription drugs. I didn't want to put them down the toilet. As if it's not bad enough that to leave the car engine running while filling up with gas, this yahoo also left the car unattended (while filling up with gas) to go shop in the convenience store. Arrrrgggh!
