Okay, I've been meaning to post this, but I keep getting sidetracked. I kinda randomly decided to move to Portland, Oregon on a whim, and my tentative date for evacuation of Phoenix is August 21st. :D ( Read more... )

You're moving to Portland?? Lucky, I've almost moved there a couple times in my life. It's a beautiful state, I was up there for burner party in the woods last year and it was great. Oregon is by far the prettiest state I've been to.

I'm sad to hear that you're leaving but I guess for all the more contact I've had with you since high school it doesn't really matter. Also, you being up there will give me another reason to visit so that's cool. Anyway, glad to hear you survived whatever the hell it was that made you so sick. I was pretty worried when you got all delirious and disappeared from the internets for a while.

Sounds like you're kinda rushing off on us but if you end up having a going-away party or anything of the sort let me know. I'd love to see ya before you venture off to start your new life.

Oregon really is beautiful! There's trees, and water, and flowers... basically everything that this desert is lacking.

I really am rushing off, aren't I? Eh. That's part of what makes it fun! I dunno about a party (I'm pretty horribly antisocial), but if there is one, I'll be sure to put you on the list. ;)

This is the type of situation where I usually break out my "until we meet again" kind of goodbyes. But I'm pretty sure they have the Internet in Portland, so I imagine our relationship won't change all that much. Still, good luck in Oregon!

Thanks! Hehe, yeah... part of the problem I have here is that I'm stuck in a sort of antisocial rut. I never hang out with anyone! Internet ftw.

I don't really expect that to change in a place where I don't know anyone. But at least it won't be ninety degrees in my living room!

Portland? Fucking serious? I was born in Portland.

Whuuuuuuuuut.

But do let me know what you decide to do. I need to get out of here, too, and maybe a trip to somewhere is in order.

idk

good luck

Really? I didn't know you were from there! Why on earth would you leave to go to Arizona, of all places? =P

Thankee. :D I hope we do cross paths again!

You remember Alex from high school? She is gong to school in Eugene which I have no geographical idea about?

Also, you are completely braver than me. I have always wanted to pick up and move away to start again. You can do it, and even if it doesn't work out in the long run, at least you will know you tried it.

We should hang out before you go? Coffee? Caramel? Something else that starts with c?

Of course I remember Alex! Nevermind the fact that I dated Craig for the past six months and he has this annoying habit of handing me the phone when he's talking with someone (even if I have no idea who it is...). So I even got to talk to her recently!

At any rate, yes, I'm very excited! And hanging out would be awesome (and props to you for a Good Will Hunting reference... I remember you being obsessed with that movie in high school!). Of course, knowing us, we'll talk about it a bunch and never actually do it, but that's okay... 'cause we can still be internet friends! <3
