Irony
Irony: realizing that now that we're a 1-car household, it would be somewhat less convenient for me to work from home, because as soon as Celisa left with the car I'd be pretty much *stuck* at home for the day. -
One payment less...
I just sold my car, which means one less thing that needs a monthly payment and other care and feeding.
It also means we're a one-car family now. At least until I save up a bit of cash and buy my beater of a pickup truck.
But for now, I'm happy to be done with the obligations that went along with a car that I just wasn't using enough to justify -
Plumbing foibles
One of this weekend's projects was to move the dishwasher from Melva's old house to her new one. The new one came with a very old KitchenAid which may or may not have been functional, but wasn't nearly as nice as the one she'd had in the old house, so it made sense to transplant ( Read more... ) -

I have just posted to Craigslist my 2003 Jetta TDI. It served me very well while I was doing my long commute, but it's not the 2nd car we need right now.

Dog park!
The kids and I took Cassie to the dog park today after work. Initially, I think Cassie was a bit overwhelmed by a couple of the dogs there, and she ran into a corner with her tail tucked. But after a few minutes, she made some friends and had a good romp ( Read more... ) -

I ended up deciding not to attempt dishwashering yesterday, and instead to take the portion of the day that wasn't brunching at Americana winery to futz about the house and just close out the weekend with some cleaning and chores and getting ready for the week ( Read more... ) -
