Geekness
So, the bad news is that I need to upgrade our Mac Mini to OS 10.5 to do what I want. The good news is that everything else is in place.
I jacked the mini into our new TV, and grabbed one of our Mac Remotes to spin up FrontRow. Now I just need Understudy to be able to pull in Hulu via FrontRow. But that requires 10.5. Bummer ( Read more... ) -
It's a hole!
I've been feeling frustrated at fate and myself that I haven't had time or made time to get done a handful of projects that have been piling up. So tonight I decided to take out my frustration on a project, and actually install a cat door between the kitchen and the basement stairs. Icy
It's quite icy out there, which means the path I've been walking in the back yard that was compacted snow is now a bobsled run. I have to walk off-path where I can break through the crust to the snow below. At least I've got salt on the stairs, so next time I take Cassie out we'll be less likely to fall down there ( Read more... ) -

So Quiet
It is very quiet. The kids and C are in bed. Nothing is really going on. And it is really really quiet. The ticking of the clock and the guttering flame in the fireplace sound hugely loud.
Must be time to get some sleep. -
It's done.
Yesterday morning, we successfully closed on our new house. We slept there last night, albeit with somewhat spartan accommodations.
