I'm pretty sure I'm the only person not doing anything for both Friday and Saturday night. I haven't left my apartment since I got home from work yesterday. I don't know why I have to be so reclusive. I haven't talked to any of my "friends" from tech in months. They've probably all forgotten about me, or just don't care to see me ( Read more... )

What a coincidence that you made this post! I was just contemplating the fact that I loathe sitting in this chair for hours upon hours, writing nonsense about how "Lear’s excessive amount of pride and his destructive relationships with his daughters play significant parts in his downfall as a leader." And that I loathe throwing together another paper that's based on four books that I haven't read. And that I loathe the fact that I should be spending a Saturday night with you, but instead, I'm spending it with fucking King Lear (he's an arrogant asshole).

Three cheers for our respective weekends.

Sucky weekends are amplified when you can't stay up late on weeknights. It feels more like a waste when you don't do anything on the only nights when you can...

King Lear is a bitch.

No, I'm also not doing anything for both Friday and Saturday night. Dave's playing his nerd game, and I'm listening to Nirvana.

I rarely do anything on any night, but if I do, it's generally alone. Like tonight. I went to see "The Incredibles" all by my onesies. And every other night I'm home playing video games alone. On the rare occasion I see friends, generally we also stay home and play video games.

How is Metroid? I'd buy it if I had a job and/or money.

Metroid Prime 2, gameplay-wise, is very similar to its predecessor. If that isn't good news, I don't know what is... It still has the creepy atmosphere, beautiful graphics, and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. This one has a light world and a dark world (similar in concept to Zelda: Link to the Past). There are new beams and I hear visors (which I haven't obtained yet). I hear they somehow got screw attack added to the game too. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it's still Metroid-- so it's awesome....

The Incredibles was pretty awesome.

Seriously, I made you about 3, but I'm too lazy to make cover art and stuff and then send them out. I'll try to get them out even though they seem dated to me now...

There are some dudes in CT (I think in Wolcott) that my company does business with, so there is a possibility of me taking some business trips there next year. I will keep yous posted.
