2004 seemed like a pretty forgettable year in music, but that probably was mostly due to the fact that I listened to older stuff. It seems kinda moot to make one of these, but I feel compelled anyway, mostly because I attempt to do it every year. Here are my top 20 favorite records of 2004:

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person not doing anything for both Friday and Saturday night. I haven't left my apartment since I got home from work yesterday. Oh, great. Gatech just deleted my webspace. Now my journal is filled with red x's.

I might be the luckiest voter.

I leave work an hour early expecting to sit in a line for hours.

There were no lines, only empty booths. Free cookies and lemonade greeted me when I finished.

I want to vote again tomorrow.

This entry is in appreciation of Jon Stewart. Today he went on CNN's Crossfire and told them to their face that they feed the morally reprehensible American media that is destroying the fabric of individual opinion.
