I had *plans*. But those plans have rather changed already.
Plan 1: cut out new muslin for short Regency stays, and do nothing today but work on those. And get the muslin cut for my Regency ball gown.

Prime example of a dunce here. I just finished sewing my muslin for my Regency short stays. It didn't fit. It appeared to be the right size but I couldn't even get my arm into the armhole ( Read more... )

A couple months ago one of our guild members found this Madrigal concert/dinner being put on by the Point Loma Nazarene College (in San Diego). She thought it might be a good event to show up in costume. So we got 7 of us interested in going last night, and we really enjoyed it. ( Read more... )

As requested by Miss Jenny; these are the hair pieces shown to us in class at Costume College that can be made to wear with Regency costumes, or maybe other eras. The instructor said she first saw one on Pride & Prejudice when the old lady died and someone said she didn't look right in her coffin with her "bald" old head.
