It seems like I only get on here to gripe. I am nothing. I used to be a LPN, a Navy wife, a mom and a daughter. Since the headaches started 4 years ago, I am on disability. Ok, right now, my doctors and I are trying to find a balance. I need to be able to function. I have to be able to drive in the morning and take the kids to school. I have to be able to give my husband some relief from everything he has taken on. So, Wednesday I call a headache clinic in Indy. They only take Medicaid insurance on Thursday from 10 am to 12pm. I was thinking that I would have to be on a waiting list for months. To my delight and surprise, they got me in the next day. Wow. Cool. Good sign number one ( Read more... ) -
Adoption
Okay, so Emma's biological father lives in Washington. I met Brian right before Emma's first birthday. He is the only father she has ever known. After we had been married for a while, Brian adopted Emma. Unfortunately, the Navy didn't forward the paperwork on to Indiana so her name would be changed. Emma just finished 2nd grade. Well, my family has been sick with the virus that is going around. Emma came down with it last week: sore throat, fever, and just feeling crummy. Her fever was up and down for a week, spiking to 103 one night. It was horrible timing for her. Good news, I think. My disability got approved, straight through. I had it set in my head that it would not get approved the first time, so this is great. Wonderful that it went straight through. It just feels like a sentence. The government agrees that I am disabled. And I know that hopefully we will find out what is wrong and the headache will ( Read more... )
