Delicate Timing
Why is it that every single time I decide to wash my delicates, my current roommate decides to bring friends over to see my bras and underwear and whatnot hanging all about our apartment air drying?! It never seems to fail! Oh, the joys of not having a laundy room... -

It's literally been months since I've been on lj. I'm definitely slacking. Life seems to finally have fallen into a regular pattern (that includes internet), so I hope to start updating again very soon (and catching up on all the posts I've missed since June!).

The Flooding Worsens
Okay, so I was wrong. The flooding that is happening in my mom's home town is really horrible and a matter to be taken very seriously. My family left yesterday afternoon at about 3, maybe 3:30. Rain, Rain, Go away, Come again another day!
The Fire Department just woke me up. They are enforcing a mandatory evacuation in my mom's town. So I'm off yet again. I think to my grandmother's house in Goshen, NY. My mother is calling us "refugees" as if this is some Katrina-esq event. I'm not amused by any of it. Damn rain! -

I asked my co-worker Mary Ann, who has a window in her office, if it was raining outside because I wanted to get some pizza for lunch. Goodbye Boston!
Tonight is my last night in Boston. I've been really horrible about this "leaving Boston indefinitely" thing. I haven't told most people the exact date of my departure and have not made any attempt to see people one last time. PBS & NPR
Last week, the House voted to reduce public broadcasting funding by $115 million and all funding will be eliminated within two years. That means that there will be no more shows like Sesame Street. I loved Sesame Street. That's the only show that I remember watching as a young child. I can't believe that fucking Republicans would take away ( Read more... ) -

I watched Walk the Line this evening. I absolutely loved it. It's really good movie.
