Tonight's the night!
Well, since Baby G doesn't appear to be coming on his/her own yet, I'm going into the hospital tonight to start cervical ripening, with induction to start tomorrow morning at 9am. This pretty much throws my whole birth plan out the window, which I'm pretty disappointed about, but will glad to finally have my baby. I didn't really tell many people ( Read more... ) -

Short notice beer-brat test!
I'm doing some research for work this weekend to see if different beers impart different flavors in brats if you marinate/boil them in it before grilling. If anyone wants to come enjoy the fruits of my labor, I'll be grilling around 7ish tomorrow night! -
New Toy!!
Yesterday my new fancy pants digital camera came in the mail. It is a Canon Digital SLR EOS Rebel XS. This is my "sober" (read: too expensive to drop or misplace) camera, to be used for documenting adventures in the kitchen for my food blog. I got my ring back today, along with my wedding band! Its very pretty.
We got our first wedding present this weekend.......A GRILL!!!!! A decent sized one, too, so BBQ will happen soon.

Jack the Cat (officially renamed Jake the Cat) is now home with us! The adjustment has been pretty typical so far, lots of hissing and growling, but no fighting so far. Surprisingly, Jake has totally taken over Bitch's area, I think he will be the dominant one. I didn't expect that!
