Back to school
My first day back to school was great. I had the entire summer off, so I wasn't sure how I would take to getting back into the rigour of classes. I was also very nervous about moving to a 4-year school from my 2-year community college. However, it seems that classes at U.C. will progress at a slower pace than they did at C.S.. Scholarship magic
I attended a somewhat fancy dinner Sunday night at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. I was a finalist for a book scholarship they were awarding. And although I did not receive the scholarship, I was able to see what fraternities were like at UC. The magic is coming along nicely. I put Benjamin's pencil through a quarter I found behind his ear today. Of course, I let him keep the quarter. Does that mean I'm paying off my audience? Blood sacrifice
Rebekah and I donated blood yesterday. It was the closest I have ever been to death. Not that I was in any real danger. I have just never been that close to passing out in my life. Everything was going fine. I'm not afraid of needles and I have given blood samples so many times that I it's all old hat to me. But I haven't actually donated blood in ( Read more... )
