It turns out that I've all of December off from classes, but not illness. I've most likely infected everyone in the Willamette U residence apartments, and yet somehow Scott seems perfectly fine. Halloween was brilliant. Jake's little social soirée was fantastic, the costumes were fantastic, getting out of Salem for an evening was fantastic, oh and the after-party vampire-on-wraith action may have also been quite fantastic. All in all, everything this week has been quite...fantastic.

So school finally started, and after a couple months of living in Salem I feel no more or less connected to the area. I can't find a job. School is a welcome relief, but questions about what I plan to do with my life leave me feeling empty inside. Honestly, so far it just feels like I'm majoring in giving my money away, and becoming detached.

Tonight let's go out for a real date and go to an imaginary land where we'll eat rainbow pasta and doodle doos. Then we'll watch the waining sun go to sleep and hesitate in multi-color, overlapping the rich sensations that flow between us as we relish in this make-belief life.

Recently I've felt a kind of resolution that's been long hidden under weary weather and dreary days spent indoors cashiering under the gaze of cameras and bright lights alike. There seem to be so many possibilities for my future, many that I've never considered in my wildest dreams. What makes me the most satisfied is the sense of unease that rules ( Read more... )

It seems that the more I work toward getting an apartment/job in Wilsonville the more difficult the adults around me have become. Not only do they not trust me at all they criticize my efforts.
