primeval100 challenge 313: Full Moon. Follows Gold, Asylum, Angels and Demons and The Pyre, but all you really need to know is that poor old Connor is trapped in medieval England and not enjoying it very much.
Before Dawn
The full moon was setting. It had been bright, but hardly enough for a night-time ride through rough countryside.
Becker and his men had 'liberated' horses once they'd heard about the stranger from across the seas who was to be burnt at sunrise for witchcraft. The physical description was close enough, he was sure it had to be Connor.
He could see the castle, hopefully only lit by torches within and not a pyre yet. It seemed very far away.
The first faint strands of light were starting to make their way across the horizon.
Becker urged his horse faster.
