primeval100 challenge 314: History. Follows Gold, Asylum, Angels and Demons, The Pyre, and Before Dawn but all you really need to know is that poor old Connor is trapped in medieval England and not enjoying it very much.
Hope this isn't dragging out too much.
Horrible Histories
As teenagers Connor and friends had visited the London Dungeons. That was the kind of gruesome history they'd been interested in.
It didn't seem so interesting now.
Connor's hands had been tied high above his head, stretching him out against the stake and making the injuries from his interrogation hurt afresh. He closed his eyes against the hate-filled, baying crowd, and wished he could shut out what the priest was saying and the crackle of the burning torch poised to light the pyre.
Somewhere beyond it all, bizarrely, Connor thought he could hear the sound of thunder.
He was history.
